A man acting strangely and with a open knife was taken into custody by Grass Valley Police. Sergeant Steve Johnson says an officer took a theft report for a stolen fair ticket from a car Thursday morning.
The sergeant says officers went to a grocery store in the Glenbrook shopping center thirty minutes later because a man was acting strangely and had a large open knife. The sergeant says officers quickly determined 18-year-old Eric Geisick of Grass Valley was under the influence of dangerous drugs. Geisick was searched and officers found additional evidence.
The checks had been stolen from a Pepsi truck in the area. Geisick was taken into custody for suspicion of being under the influence, theft, burglary, receiving stolen property and violation of probation. All the stolen property was returned to the victims.
