Members of the Nevada County Narcotics Task Force uncovered an extensive indoor marijuana grow and arrested two people on various charges Tuesday night. Sheriff’s Lt. John Kropp says events started with a parole check at a hotel on Sutton Way.
“They contacted a Derek Kohler, age 25 and Dylan Mylan, age 18 at a local motel. Kohler was found to be on parole and 10 pounds of processed marijuana were found in his vehicle.”
Subsequently the task force conducted a search at the Koehler and Milan residence at an undisclosed location in the county. Lt Kropp says in the home they found an indoor marijuana garden with 20 mature plants, marijuana plants growing openly in the yard and deck and an additional 20 pounds of processed marijuana.
“This was an average sized three bedroom residence and there was marijuana in all stages of package, drying, in the process of trimming in every room, including the garage in this place.”
Koehler was arrested for felony possession for sale, felony transportation, conspiracy and a parole violation, Milam was arrest for felony possession for sale, felony transportation and conspiracy.
