38 Seniors In Our Community Did Not Get A Hot Meal Today

There are 38 seniors in our community that will not get a hot meal today due to lack of funding for meals on wheels. Sandy Jacobson executive Director of the Gold Country Community Center who runs the meals on wheels program says without help from the community, those 38 seniors will not get a meal tomorrow or until the new fiscal year begins July first.

Meals on wheels needs money

Jacobson asked that you help with what you can. Each meal costs $8 dollars total. For a total cost of $304 dollars a day for the rest of the month.

To Make a monetary donation you can drop a check or cash off at 841 Old Tunnel Road In Grass Valley at the Nevada City Senior Apartments or here at the Studios of KNCO Radio at the corner of Dorsey and East Main in Grass Valley.
