55 Year Old Man Arrested for DUI in Construction Zone

A drunk driver showed why the CHP is at highway construction sites, Tuesday night. CHP Public Information Officer Heather Blancarte says a 55 year old man from Folsom was in his 2002 Chevrolet pickup when he drove over most of the highway safety cones on Highway 20 near Brighton Street in Grass Valley.

“On highway 20 near Brighton Street near the construction zone, a driver was observed colliding into several cones. When the driver was stopped and evaluated, he was determined to be under the influence and was taken into custody and booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.”

CHP Officers are assigned to special construction projects because of the injury and deaths Caltrans along the state’s highways.
