A Body Has Been Found Under The Forest Hill Bridge

The Placer County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man whose body was found in the American River Tuesday morning, directly underneath the Foresthill Bridge.

A hiker called the Sheriff’s Office Tuesday at around 11 a.m. to report that she saw a body floating in the water. The man’s body was recovered with the assistance of the Sheriff’s dive team and helicopter.

The man is described as a white male, in his late 20’s to early 40’s. He is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 169 pounds. He has brown hair with a receeding hairline, hazel eyes and a full beard. He was wearing blue pants and a dark-colored T-shirt with a circular design and “Grateful Dead” written in red and green letters.

Anyone who may know the identity of this man is urged to contact the Placer County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office at (530) 889-7879.
