Wow, Monday was one crazy day!  I haven’t dealt with so many Tornado Warnings in my radio career ever.  Living in Yuba City I’ve issued a few, but never so many one after another.  Never had three different storms producing dangerous weather at the same time.

I’ll tell you this much, it’s the kind of day that makes me happy to be on the air.  I really like being in the thick of things, passing the word on to the stations listeners, calming peoples jingled nerves.  I’ve had my fair share in my 30 plus years on air.  I believe it’s what radio does best, serve the public interest.

The only problem I had all afternoon was with reading all those Tornado Warning messages.  Reminding people how to be safe in a tornado, go to the basement or interior hallway or closet and most importantly to stay away from windows.  3 feet from my back is the studio window to the street . . . . . .
