Alcohol Contributing Factor in Car vs. Tree Accident

The CHP says alcohol was the likely cause of a accident on Rock Creek Road Saturday night. Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says Officers responded to a report of a car into a tree, near Hobnob Way. When officers arrived they found the car had been driven straight off the road over a embankment and intro a tree. Officer Morrison says a large quantity of blood was found in the car but no driver. While officers were completing their investigation, a man identifying himself as the driver approached the scene. The 29 year old Nevada City man had a considerable amount of blood on his shirt. Officer Morrison says when the driver was interviewed, alcohol was suspected as a factor in the accident.
