The last few weeks have been full of change. The high school gradations of course and last weekend, my husband and I traveled to Santa Barbara to watch my son Trevor Wade graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He was one of only twelve humanities students to earn a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree. His is in Theater with an emphasis in acting. He was easy to spot in the sea of one thousand caps and gowns as he and his fellow “BFA” graduates walked out wearing clown noses. Such a moment.
He came home with us and has spent the week reacquainting himself with friends and, so far, the South Yuba River! He plans to move to New York in the fall to begin life as an actor.
I am happy to have him home (for awhile). Each of the children is finding their way to the next level- be it finding a job, enrolling in college or moving across country I know there is an empty nest up ahead somewhere, one graduate at a time.
