All Teachers, administrators, and classified staff within the Nevada Joint Union High School District are preparing to roll out a new program to address bullying concerns at the various campuses. The County Superintendent of School’s Office is funding the program as part of the Safe Schools Healthy Students Initiative. District Assistant Superintendent Trisha Dellis explains the goals of the program.
Seven of nine elementary districts that feed the high school district have already implemented the program and Dellis believes that will help make a seamless transition to the high schools.
All high schools in Nevada County participated in a district-wide training on October 1.
