A local government official has been named to a state organization’s leadership team. Grass Valley City Councilwoman, Jan Arbuckle is the newest member of the League of California Cities Board of Directors.
The League of California Cities is a statewide association founded in 1898 to advocate on behalf of California’s cities at the state and federal levels and provide education, training and best practices for city officials.
Arbuckle says there are two issues that the League is focused on at this time- the first challenges the use of Vehicle License Fees.
The second issue is exploring tools to assist cities economically.
Grass Valley is part of the Sacramento Division of the League which is made up of 58 incorporated cities from Yreka in the North and to Galt in the South. There are 482 member cities state wide.
Council Member Arbuckle has previously served as President of the Sacramento Valley Division as well as a member of multiple committees.
