Armstrong Still Strong

With all of the attention pointed at what Lance Armstrong may lose as a result of his unwillingness to fight doping charges, local race officials still believe in the man himself. Duane Strawser, owner of the Tour of Nevada City Bicycle Shop and the Race Director for the Nevada City Bicycle Classic knows Armstrong on multiple levels.

Strawser is referring to the oversight and arbitration system used to settle cases in which athletes have been accused of using performance enhancing drugs or blood doping.
As the Nevada City Classic Race Director, Strawser has analyzed the situation and is not going to penalize Armstrong for his decision to no longer fight the United States Anti-doping Association.

Strawser indicated that the system is flawed. Lance Armstrong has been tested more that any other athlete on the planet. He has never produced a positive result indicating blood doping.
