Arrests Made in Beer Burglary

Two arrests have been made by Grass Valley Police in connection with  break-ins at a  South Auburn Street convenience store and the snack shack in Condon Park.    Sgt. Steve Johnson says police responded to an alarm at the market in the 500 block of South Auburn Street around 10:30 Tuesday night  and noticed one of the large plate glass windows in the front of the store had been broken and   there was a rock on the floor.

Moments later officers were dispatched to a second alarm at a snack shack at the park.

One of the suspects was identified as 20 year old Phillip Palomo, a transient, and the other subject was a male juvenile. Sgt. Johnson says both suspects were interviewed at the scene and admitted to burglarizing the market and taking the beer and cigarettes.  Both  were arrested for commercial burglary and criminal conspiracy and Palomo was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and had a  local warrant for his arrest.
