Assault Charges filed over a "Nose-Pinch"

Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 11 thousand block of Thornycroft Way in the South County about 10:15 Thursday night on a peace disturbance.  Sheriff Keith royal says apparently a renter in the home was confronted by his female landlord for allegedly stealing one of her magazines.

“When he proved that it was not her magazine, but it was his, she was yelling at him over a variety of issues and went toe to toe with him and a yelling match ensued and the next thing he noticed, she reached up and pinched his nose.”

The victim in the case wanted to file a complaint that he had been assaulted because she pinched his nose. The sheriff’ says no medical attention was needed and the report is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for further review.
