Auburn Man Arrested on Suspicion of Child Abuse

Placer County Sheriff’s detectives arrested an Auburn man on suspicion of child abuse Thursday evening. 70 year old Belden Morgan, also known as Jack Morgan, was taken into custody on charges of continual sexual abuse of a child. Morgan is a former Colfax High School snowboard coach, computer science teacher and snowboard district coordinator.                

The Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the alleged abuse that happened several years ago and conducted an investigation, resulting in the suspect’s arrest. The investigation is ongoing,  and Morgan  is being held at the Placer County Jail on $1.5 million bail.
