The CHP is still trying to determine why an Auburn man lost control of his car on Lime Kiln Road Friday morning. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says a 32 year old Auburn man lost control of his 1995 Geo on a turn near Silver Springs Place. The driver could not keep the car on the road.

“An Auburn gentleman was driving his Geo Prism westbound on Lime Kiln and simply took a corner too fast, wasn’t able to negotiate the curve. The vehicle traveled off the road down an embankment and struck a tree.”

The driver suffered a broken arm and a passenger suffered minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
