The driver of a big rig struck a  wire on a power pole Tuesday afternoon near the intersection Squirrel Creek and Rough and Ready roads outside Grass Valley.

CHP officer Zach Kostick says the driver was on Adam Avenue at about 1 p.m. when the accident happened.

The big rig driver wasn’t injured either. The road was closed to traffic for about 90 minutes.
