Sometimes members of some motorcycle clubs get a bad rap because of the loud motorcycles, the intimidating way they dress, or grow their hair, or how loud they talk. But at least once a year, bikers get a chance to show their softer side. This year over 1600 riders participated in the 21st Annual Nevada County Food and Toy Run. And when asked why they rode, they unanimously said, it’s about the kids.
The riders also say that the Nevada County Toy Run is special because you get to see the results right away.
One club made up of ex-law-enforcement officers has participated in the Run for at least 7 years.
And riders with character representing clubs like the Booze Fighters and The Weasels also showed their compassionate sides.
When all was said and done, the event brought smiles to over 300 families, children and 1600 bikers too.
