Board of Supervisors Honor Food and Toy Run

The Nevada County Board of Supervisors took time to honor the twentieth annual Nevada County Food and Toy Run at their recent meeting. Board members honor the members and volunteers of the toy run for the work they do for the people in need in this community. Tom Staser president of the toy run group accepted the proclamation. The group will hold their annual toy and food run on Saturday between twelve and one. Staser said the run takes a lot of work and he has considered giving it up; until the next year rolls around.

“As long as I can keep riding, it looks like. I don’t think I can quit now. I have said every year, ‘this is the last year.’ But every year we just seem to keep it going.”

Motorcyclist from over three hundred miles away will make a run from the Eric Rood building in Nevada City; to the fairgrounds in Grass valley were the toys and food. Staser says he expects as many as two thousand people will be involved in the run.
