California Drought Means Underwater Hazards are Closer to Surface

With the water recreation season in full swing during the Labor Day weekend, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) reminds customers to be safe around all waterways, including PG&E’s Lake Spalding and Blue Lakes. Spokesperson Brandi Ehlers has this advice for people heading for lakes and rivers.

Ehlers also recommends staying off flume walkways and never get in a flume or canal.

Ehlers stress everyone to be aware of uneven surfaces, river currents, ocean undertow and changing weather. Water can appear deceptively safe.
