Career Technical Education Projects on Display

Student projects from Career and Technical Education majors will be exhibited in Ridley Gallery at Sierra College Rocklin Campus beginning January 23, 2013. The Tech Know exhibits highlight recent projects from students majoring in Applied Art and Design, Computer Information Systems, Drafting and Engineering Support, Early Childhood Education, Fashion Design, Mechatronics, Metals, Photography, and Technical Theatre.

Gallery Director, Lisa Marasso, says each program will select projects for display.

Each project demonstrates problem solving, originality and craftsmanship. Of particular interest is a photography display using student made cameras and 19th century processes.

Students completing CTE Programs are prepared to enter the work force as well as transfer to a four year college or university.

A reception for Tech Know student artists will be held on Tuesday, February 5 from 4-6 pm.

Ridley Gallery is located on the first floor of the Library/LR 102, on the Rocklin campus, located at 5000 Rocklin Rd, Rocklin. The exhibit runs from January 23 through February 23. Regular hours for Ridley Gallery are 11am -6:00 pm Monday through Thursday.
