thieves steal the Catalytic converters for the precious medels they contain. some vehicles contain more of the valueable medals then others. Toyotas are one of the most popular targets because of the easy access to the converter and the amount of the medal they contain. Theives can get $60 to $65 dollars for each converter sold at recycle yards. It costs the victm hundreds of dollars to replace the converters on their vehicles.
