Some changes are happening at the Nevada County Economic Resource Council. One January 5th a new slate of officers was approved and Kimberly Parker, representing Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital will serve as ERC Chair, with Nevada County Supervisor Ed Scofield as Chair Elect. Tim Corkins with ZAP Manufacturing will remain as Treasurer and Stephanie Ortiz, Executive Dean of Sierra College Nevada County Campus is joining as Secretary. Parker says another change is the decision not to renew the contract for ERC CEO, Ron Moser.
“As many people know, about a year ago, we hired Ron Mosher and his contract has expired and the ERC is moving in some new directions.”
Parker says the ERC has spent the last year restructuring in order to meet the demands of a changing community in a downward economy. Within the next 30 days the ERC plans to appoint an Interim Executive Director and remains committed to the mission to support the retention, creation and attraction of jobs to Nevada County.
