Check out the Online Services at the Library

Nevada County Library has made improvements to its Online Catalog Service: Library users frequently access the library online catalog through the internet by going to the County website at www.mynevadacounty.com/library. By entering the library card barcode and setting up a PIN number, library users are able to search the online catalog for books and other library materials, place requests on materials to be picked up at any of five library locations and renew library materials. Two new features include “Recently Added Items” where you can now easily see books, DVDs, and CDs that   have recently been added to the library. County Librarian Maryann Trygg says the fundraising efforts of the Friends of Nevada County Libraries is going to add even more selections.

“A portion of that money is going to purchase more digital books because we have a new program that started in January where one can go to our website and download audio or e-books.”

Also available are links to award winning book lists and websites for book recommendations based on your reading preferences.
