Chop Shop Found on Dog Barr Road

Several people were arrested in a drug raid by Sheriff’s Narcotics Investigators and a suspected car chop shop was found, on Thursday. CHP Officer Cindy Morgan says Investigators served a search warrant on a home on Dog Bar Road.  10 people were detained on drug charges. Officer Morgan said she was called to the scene when investigators found suspected stolen cars.

“I was sent out there as a VIN officer and I did some inspections of as many vehicles that I could in the time that we had. I did find one that was stolen and towed one that is suspected stolen and I’m still investigating several others.”

Officer Morgan says she is continuing to follow up on the license numbers and the vehicle identification numbers to determine if more stolen cars were on the property. All the cars were in some state of having parts removed from them.
