CHP Offers more Details Regarding Hit and Run Suspect

CHP ASKING FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE TO LOCATE HIT AND RUN VEHICLE-

More details are coming in regardign the description of a person of interest in the hit in run of a tow truck driver on interstate 80. The Auburn Area CHP is asking the public to help locate the driver and vehicle of a hit and run traffic collision that struck and killed tow truck driver David Robinson Jr. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 4:15 pm. As Mr. Robinson had exited out of his vehicle (tow truck) on westbound I-80, west of Ophir Rd., an unknown vehicle struck him and immediately fled the scene after the collision. According to witnesses, the vehicle responsible for the collision is described as a silver or light grey 1990-1993 Honda or Acura (sedan). This vehicle has extensive right front damage, primarily to the windshield area. There were no license plates on the vehicle. There is a Temporary Operating Permit attached to the rear window. The driver is described as a white male, early to mid twenties, and was wearing a black baseball cap.
