CHP Offers Teen Driving Class

The CHP is offering a popular teen driving class again. Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says the Start Smart class will be offered on January 26th. Officer Morrison says this course is a great start for a teenage driver. Officer Morrison says this class is very popular and it fills up quickly. A parent or guardian is required to attend with the teen driver.

“We go into further detail as far as what to look for in their driving, certain driving habits, dangers, just all around good information to help them start out as a very safe driver.”

Officer Morrison says the program last two hours and will cover what a provisional license is, having other teens in the car and winter driving techniques. Officer Morrison says this is a great class for parents to show their teen they care. Anyone interested can call the CHP at 273-4415 to sign up for the free class.
