CHP Searches for Hit and Run Driver

The CHP is looking for a driver who fled from an accident on Pleasant Valley Road, Saturday evening. CHP Public Information officer Marc Morrison says the accident happened near Highway 20. Officer Morrison says the driver of a 2004 Nissan was traveling north bound on Pleasant Valley Rd. when a dark colored Ford Explorer pulled from Commercial Avenue into the side of the Nissan. Officer Morrison says they are searching for the suspect.

“The person exiting from Commercial pulled out right in the path of the northbound vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle did brake and skidded, but collided with the vehicle pulling out and unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and we’re still investigating, trying to determine their identity.”

The 44 year old driver of the Nissan received an injury to her hand. Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the CHP at 273-4415
