CHP Warns Drivers to be Cautious for Weather Conditions

With the upcoming stormy weather, the CHP is urging caution. Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says slowing down and increasing the distance between cars can prevent drivers from being in an accident. Officer Morrison says wet roads increase the stopping distance on any car or truck.

“Seriously, we do have some rain coming in and again, just give yourself some extra room, slow down and go easy on the brake and the gas pedal and let’s stay safe out there.”

The CHP says during rain storms the number of accidents dramatically increases. Many of the accidents cause significant damage to the cars involved.
