Do something good for your heart and help support Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Heart of gold Campaign. Club Sierra athletic trainers will be leading a spin a thon this Saturday (Feb. 11th) from 12 to 3. Fitness Instructor Geri Campbell says it’s good for your heart, burns fat and they will definitely have a lot of fun. All they need is for people to call the club or come in to sign up.
“We will have instructors leading a spinning class, that’s the indoor cycling and each instructor’s going to do 30 minutes. We are asking for a $20 donation and that goes to the hospital and non-members are welcome also.”
Club Sierra is located on BerryHill off of East Main Street. The phone number is 477-8800.
The Heart of Gold Campaign will raise $200,000 to advance cardiac care in our community. Funds raised through this campaign will help to purchase new in-house equipment for the Cardiac Rehab and Cardiopulmonary departments, portable equipment to be utilized in a new Penn Valley Clinic, as well as help fund a Chest Pain Accreditation process. Currently, 50% of the campaign goal has been reached.
