Colfax Residents Arrested for Extensive Marijuana Grow

Two Colfax residents are under arrest after Placer County Sheriff’s Deputies raided their marijuana growing operations. Placer County Sheriff’s Sergeant Andrew Scott says two different homes in the Colfax area were searched and 27 year old Joel Jauregui and 25 year old Yulian Huang were both arrested. Sergeant Scott says one of the homes received extensive damage due to the illegal operations.

“The entire house inside, the residential part, had been converted to a marijuana garden, indoor cultivation. There was pretty extensive damage due to the humidity from the plants as well as routing of electricity, ducting and drip lines to the plants.”

A total of over two hundred plants were seized by Sheriff’s Deputies. Most of the marijuana was found inside the homes the two suspects had rented from the property owners.
