Collision on Burma Road Sends Woman to Hospital

A Colfax woman was injured after another driver turn directly in front of her. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison, an 18 year Grass Valley man in a 1975 Pontiac was east bound on Brunswick Road, Sunday afternoon, when he made a turn onto Burma Road. Officer Morrison says a 73 year old Colfax woman was west bound in her 1993 Ford when the teenager turned directly in front of her.

“The 18 year old going southbound wasn’t paying attention and initiated a turn directly into the path of the 73 year old female and the female in her Crown Victoria struck the side of the 18 year old’s vehicle.”

The Colfax woman was taken to Sierra Nevada Hospital for treatment of none life threatening injures. Both cars suffered major damage in the accident.
