Many people on Medicare or just aging into Medicare can find out about the various plans, changes in plans, and what drug programs are available at a public meeting next Wednesday. Retirement Specialist with Medicare Advantage, Bill Anderson says this is the last community meeting that will cover Medicare coverage, changes and choices before open enrollment begins.
“The annual enrollment period starts earlier this year. It’s October 15th through December 7th and they did a survey of seniors to find out how many knew when annual enrollment period was and 99% of people said that they knew and 99% of people were wrong.”
Anderson says the community meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21st. at the Roundtable Pizza 686 Sutton Way in the Brunswick Plaza.
“If they could call so we can make sure that we know how many will be there, that way we won’t start before they get there. My direct number is 530-559-8926 or they can e-mail me at Medicare123@hotmail.com.”
Anderson says the Medicare annual enrollment period is the only time this year when seniors can change some plans with no concern for preexisting conditions (except for ends stage renal disease).
