Concerned Citizen Reports Alleged Drunk Driver

A driver in the Grass Valley area felt threatened by a vehicle that was following too closely on Wednesday. Grass Valley Police Information Officer,  Rex Marks, says the reporting driver was concerned the vehicle was tailgating and trying to force the car off the road.

Officers responding to the call near highway 49 and the Auburn St exit were able to locate a vehicle matching the description provided by the reporting person.

The investigation continues to determine if the driver, JACOB ALLEN  MCCARTNEY, 24, of Rough and Ready was also under the influence of the drugs as well as alcohol. McCartney was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
