The Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) is as organization that is committed to feeding Nevada County residents in need. Recently, the IFM has seen an increase in the number of residents that benefit from the organizations effort. Sue Van Son, president of the Interfaith Food Ministry says the number of hungry Nevada County residents is growing- the term “food insecure” has been attached to the condition.
The IMF is partnering with Twin Cities Church in Grass Valley to hold a benefit concert to raise money to address the issue.
Bob York from Twin Cities Church has seen the performers- The Golden State Quartet- and is pleased to have the Southern Gospel style group for this concert.
Proceeds from the event will go towards a new facility that will allow the IMF to relocate and double the space from which they operate. Twin Cities Church is one of 15 organizations that support IMF with volunteers.
“A Golden Evening” to benefit the Interfaith Food Ministry takes place at the Twin Cities Church on September 29 starting at 7:00 PM. For more information contact Bob York at 530-470-8955 or visit TwinCitiesChurch.com.
