County Sheriffs Make Two Drug Arrests Thursday Night

Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies made two arrests Thursday evening on narcotics violations. Lt. John Kropp says the first incident was at 4pm when narcotics officers were doing surveillance in the area of Catherine Lane in Grass Valley and observed a 23 year old Ryan Hauck (Hack) of Carmichael. He was known to them and was known to be on probation subject to search and seizure.

“A search of Mr. Hack uncovered prescription drugs for which he did not have a prescription and being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia.”

He was taken to the Wayne Brown correctional Facility.

Then at 8pm Thursday evening deputies came across a man walking with traffic on Ridge Road wearing dark clothing and a poorly lit flashlight.

“During the contact, Mr. Sauer gave a false name of Steven Cook, but running records through the DMV, dispatch was able to determine that he was Adam Sauer, 22, a transient from the Grass Valley area.”

Lt. Kropp says Sauer was discovered to be under the influence of a controlled substance, in possession of drug paraphernalia as well as possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was booked at the Wayne Brown Correctional facility.
