County Website Redesign Underway

The new and refreshed My Nevada County dot com website is close to being ready for public launch.  Information Systems Manager with the county Tom Naramore has been working on the project and says the problem with the present site is that the user has to click many times to get to where they want to go.

“The other thing that is troublesome for our current site, you almost need to know where things are to go get them, what department actually does this type of work and we’ve simplified that. So we want our visitors at the new site to come to the site and know that they need information on food stamps, type food stamps in and it’ll go right to that.”

The overall website project has been broken into three phases and each phase will deliver new services and capabilities for both citizen website users and county staff content creators.  the public launch of phase one of the new county website is projected for later this month.
