Another Dentistry from the Heart event is happening in Grass Valley this Saturday where  local Dentists will donate their time to provide one free dental service to people who otherwise would not be able to afford treatment.  Dr. Paul Evans is coordinating the event for the 5th year and says the economy is what started the local event in 2008.

This year patients can receive one treatment, either a filling tooth extration or a teeth cleaning. Eight  dentists will be involved including one oral surgeon, Dr. Doug Valentine  who can provide extractions and Dr. Jean Creasey has agreed to provide root canals.  Dr. Evans says they will be treating patients from 8am until 3pm Satuday September 29th.*

People need to have their own transportation to get to the other sites, and if possible bring one non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food bank.  Participants this year include Drs. Jean and Craig Creasey,  Justin Pfaffinger, Jim Lee, Scott Fletcher, Darrel Takeoka, Doug Valentine and Paul Evans as well as office staff and hygienists.  Last year 120 patients were seen for $25,000 worth of donated dental services.
