Dillon McMahon Receives Life Sentence in Three County Crime Spree

A Roseville man who went on a violent crime spree through 3 foothills counties last April was sentenced Friday in Placer county superior court to a life prison term.  22 year old Dillon James McMahon was found guilty on the Placer County charges last December including kidnapping during a carjack and a separate charge of kidnapping for a robbery while using a firearm.  Sentencing was   combined with  an attempted murder charge in Nevada County involving a tire iron attack on an 81 year old Lake Wildwood man where McMahon beat the victim when the man refused to hand over  money. .  Sentencing Judge Mark Curry handed down a 23 year 4 month sentence to be served before the life sentence. Under the life sentence McMahon would be eligible for parole after 7 years.  An accomplice of McMahon’s, John Cody Adrian was earlier sentenced to one year for his part in the crime spree.
