Disabled Vehicle Leads to DUI Arrest

The CHP says they were not buying a Grass Valley woman story she had not been drinking. CHP Officer Cindy Morgan says the 20 year old woman was driving a 2001 Lincoln on Brunswick road shortly after three in the morning. Officer Morgan says the car developed mechanical problems and the CHP went to assist. The woman repeatedly denied she had been drinking but the two Officers were not going to believe her story.

“All the while, the driver was proclaiming that she had nothing to drink. Based on the officers’ investigation, they did arrest her for DUI. She was taken and submitted to a breath test, which did come out conclusive and the driver still proclaimed that she had nothing to drink, the requested a blood test to confirm that.”

The young woman was booked at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for suspicion of driving under the influence.
