Drunk Driver Arrested After Hit and Run

The CHP has tracked down a hit and run suspect and taken him into custody. CHP Officer Jeff Pingree says an accident was reported early Saturday morning on Dog Bar Road near Cole Way when the driver was not able to make a curve in the road.

“Due to being under the influence of alcohol, lost control of their vehicle and straightened out the curve, ended up crashing into a fence, left the scene and then were found over at the hospital suffering from minor injuries.”

The 26 year old man from Grass Valley was booked at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run. His 1998 Subaru Forester suffered major damage in the accident.
