Drunk Driver Hits Tree on Little Valley Road

A suspected drunk driver is in need of a new. CHP Public Information Officer Mark Morrison says a 26 year old Grass Valley man was driving his 1994 Chevrolet Camaro on Little Valley Road near Alta Sierra, early Saturday morning. Officer Morrison says the driver is very lucky he was wearing his seat belt.

“The car received major damage, colliding with the tree. It was not a direct impact but a side impact and spun it around and likely hit the tree twice. The driver was seatbelted, however, and that likely contributed to his not being injured in the crash.”

Officer Morrison says the accident investigation showed the driver was suspected of being under the influence. He was taken into custody and booked at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
