Drunk Drivers Called in by Concerned Citizens

The CHP says out of three drunk drivers arrested over the weekend, one was called in by another driver on 911. Public Information Officer Mark Morrison says getting as much information about a suspected under the influence driver helps Officers make an arrest.

“As much information that they can provide is helpful. Dispatch will try and walk them through it but if you can try give a good description of the car and the location and direction and license plate if you have it and a description of the driver. All of that helps in the end when we do stop that vehicle.”

Officer Morrison says two of the arrests last weekend were officers following the cars and noticing unsafe driving behavior.
