ERC Call for Companies

The Nevada County business community in coordination with the Economic Resource council announced a “Call for companies” interested in presenting at the “2011 Innovative Showcase” scheduled for November 17th at Sierra College Grass Valley campus.  President of the ERC Ron Moser says they are looking for start up, early stage, and expansion-stage companies to present to potential investors.

“What we’re looking for is people who have a real, vialble plan that can grow employees in Nevada County; and we believe that we can do that through some of the ideas and some of the business start ups and some of those that are already here and we’re going to take in business proposals, executive summaries from people that would like to present to venture capitalist and investors that we’re going to have at this showcase.”

Executive summaries are due October 10th and should be submitted to the ERC.  Up to ten companies will be selected for presentations before angel investors, business leaders and elected public officials.   Sponsoring agencies include Wavepoint Ventures, Sierra College, Nevada County Business Association, Sierra Commons and the Economic Resource Council. For more information contact the ERC or the Nevada County Business Association. The 2011 Innovative Showcase is November 17th at Sierra College in Grass Valley with Telestream CEO Dan Castles as the featured speaker. Seating is limited.  To register send an email to research@ncerc.org.
