A house on  fire in the 11 thousand block of  Gold Digger Way off Red Dog Road about  a mile and a half east of Nevada City is now under control.  A couple and their three young boys were in the home when the father noticed smoke in the second story of the 3,100 square foot home.

The homeowner  called 9-1-1 around 7:40 a.m this morning and seven  fire engines responded from  Nevada City and Nevada County Consolidated.  The family will not be able to return to the home as fire damage was extensive.  Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading into the wooded acreage beyond the structure.
