Several fire Trucks responded to a fire in downtown Colfax yesterday (Tuesday) morning.  Cal Fire dispatcher Chelsea Fox says the call came in about 6am of a house on fire on Gearhart Lane.

“The first engine that arrived there advised that it was about 50% involved, so a pretty significant fire in the house. We ended up having five engines committed to the fire. They called it contained at 8:30. We believed the house to be unoccupied. No one was displaced by the fire.”

There were no injuries to firefighters. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
