Firefighters Host Santa

The Grass Valley Fire Department and the Grass Valley Career Firefighters Association will be sponsoring 3 needy families this year, donating Christmas presents to the children and needed items for the parents. The families are selected through the Domestic Violence and Abuse Coalition. Santa and the Grass Valley Firefighters will be traveling around Grass Valley on the morning of Dec 24 to deliver the presents to the families. Firefighter Orian Clemens says Santa will b meeting with area children at Fire Station one that morning.

“At 10 Am Santa will be delivered to fire station one, 472 Brighton Street and will be available for the public to come and see, tell him your wish list and take a picture and get a free candy cane. Free hot chocolate and hot cider will be available and he will only be available until noon because he has to get back to the North Pole and prepare for the big night.”

The Grass Valley Firefighters will also have a donation jar available for contributions to continue the program next year in order to help additional families.
