Firth eyes seat on Grass Valley City Council

Grass Valley resident Jim Furth who is currently in the signature gathering phase to run for election to the Grass Valley City Council says he is no stranger to the political process.  Firth who moved to Grasss Valley four years ago with his wife from the Bay Area, says he retired as a union representative for the Service Employees International Union.

Firth says as a city council member he would focus on Loma Rica Development and the untapped avenues and opportunities in tourism to Grass Valley.   Also running for Grass Valley City Council this November are current council members Jan Arbuckle and Lisa Swarthout, and former Grass Valley Downtown Association Director Howard Levine.
