Someone vandalized the new gold flags that went up two days ago in downtown Grass Valley. Downtown Association Executive Director, Julia Jordan says the 3 by 5 foot gold flags were quite a showcase for the merchants and it’s sad they someone saw it fit to rip them up.
Seventy gold flags were purchased to dress up the downtown for fall along Mill, Main, Neal, South Auburn and Bank Streets. Seven flags were destroyed. Jordan is asking anyone who might have information to contact the Grass Valley Downtown Association. She says replacing the flags will be expensive.
