Get out your homemade recipes and get ready to meet the challenge of Nevada Union Sophemore Edan Baker. Edan is putting together a cookbook based around the foods available from the Nevada County Food bank’s grains and fresh vegitables available from thieir garden. The idea came from the recognition that many whole grain food products were not taken by families because they didn’t know how to cook with many of the grains available.
The vegitables include zucchini squash, green beans, bell peppers, onions, eggplant, cucumbers, peas and more. The recipes should be healthy family-friendly recipeis to be shared.
