Foresthill Head on Collision Sends Two to Trauma Center

A head on collision had Foresthill road closed for 2 hours today. CHP officer Dave Montijo with the Auburn area office describes the scene of the collision that happened around 2 o’clock this afternoon involving two vehicles on Foresthill Road west of Spring Garden Road in Foresthill, CA. A White Nissan pick-up being driven by a white male adult (age 79 of Foresthill) was traveling at an unknown speed westbound on Foresthill Road west of Spring Garden Road.

“For unknown reasons, he allowed his vehicle to cross over the double yellow lines directly into the path of a silver Toyota Avalon driven in the opposite direction at an unknown speed by a white female adult, age 32, also from Foresthill. The vehicles collided head on in a major collision. Both parties were the sole occupants of their vehicle and they were both transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with major injuries.”

The roadway was blocked for approximately two hours. The collision continues to be investigated by CHP Auburn Area Officers. Foresthill Fire Department units and Placer County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assisted at the scene.
